A Bit About Me

I started Signal & Stone to help everyday people have technology they can actually rely on.

Too often, home computers and networks become a source of frustration — slow Wi-Fi, dropped connections, unreliable equipment, or systems that constantly need attention. My goal is simple: help homeowners spend less time fixing technology and more time enjoying what matters — whether that’s working from home, staying connected with family, or streaming the big game without interruptions.

I also know firsthand how frustrating it is to miss a football game or Dancing with the Stars because the internet can’t keep up. Technology should support your life, not get in the way of it.

Signal & Stone exists to make home technology dependable, thoughtfully designed, and built to last.

My Story

My love for technology started early, thanks to my grandfather, Donald Miller.

He spent much of his life working for various technology companies, but the one that left the biggest impression on me was Silicon Graphics, Inc. (SGI). When I was a kid, he would take me to work with him. I even had my own cubicle where I proudly played the role of “the boss,” handing out blank sheets of paper that I believed were important assignments.

Looking back, those moments were where my curiosity for technology truly took root.

That curiosity followed me into school, where I graduated from The University of Alabama with a degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Cybersecurity. At the time, I thought my career would lead me into the cyber defense world after college.

Then 2020 happened — and like it did for so many people, it changed everything.

Finding the Right Path

Instead of the path I originally imagined, I found myself joining a small Managed Service Provider (MSP) in Huntsville, Alabama. There, I immersed myself in IT learning anything and everything I could.

I had the opportunity to watch the company grow from roughly 20 clients to nearly 80–90, and I gained invaluable experience supporting real people and real businesses with real technology challenges. More importantly, I built lasting relationships and learned what it truly means to provide dependable, thoughtful technology support.

Those years shaped how I approach technology today:
do it right, do it cleanly, and do it with the end user in mind.

A New Chapter

In 2025, I became engaged to the love of my life, Angel, and made the decision to relocate to Birmingham, Alabama so we could start building a life together.

That transition gave me the opportunity to step back, reflect, and ultimately create something of my own — a company rooted in trust, reliability, and genuine care for the people it serves.

Signal & Stone was born from that moment.

I believe home technology should feel solid — not fragile. It should be reliable, well-designed, and built with intention. Whether it’s your home network, your computer, or the devices you rely on every day, technology should quietly support your life instead of constantly demanding your attention.

That philosophy is what drives everything I do at Signal & Stone.
